Revised Jun 2026The front pocket is the reason this beat everything else I tried. Laptop and liquids come out from the outside, which means the main shell stays zipped and packed through the entire airport.
The wheels are the good kind — they roll silently and they spin properly rather than juddering. The shell has taken real abuse from baggage handlers and has scuffs but no cracks.
It's a two because the hard shell is polycarbonate and polycarbonate scratches, and because the telescoping handle has a small amount of wobble that I notice every time.
